• Architect and lead development of insurance tenants across 17 deployments (10 designed and built by me with team input and peer approval, 7 as contributor), several with 70k–100k active users each
• Actively developed about 100 insurance products and their sales funnels and helped maintain about 30 more: quote, purchase (Stripe), renewals, cancellations, risk assessment and claims
• Microservices in Java (Quarkus 3 and Spring Boot), Node.js and FastAPI on PostgreSQL, from 40+ service estates to lean 4-service tenants that cut infrastructure cost; led the Java 17 to 25 migrations; introduced Flyway for database migrations (previously manual)
• Cut API calls from 4 s to 280 ms (70 ms for the fastest)
• Cut quote-generation time by 30%: the most frequent call, with non-cacheable data that changes on every request, so it is a direct infrastructure saving
• Built 2 AI chatbots (end customers and B2B2C intermediaries) that explain coverage, limits and policy details, produce quotes and hand over a parameterized link to complete quote and payment; used daily by 10–15% of active users
• Handled GDPR compliance directly; wrote the architecture documentation and the call-sequence diagrams across microservices
• Partners and insurers include TIM, Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco di Desio, Net Insurance, Europ Assistance, ARAG and more (not public information)
